GRAY, La. A man was arrested for the murder of his sister and the shooting of her boyfriend on Thursday night, according to the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office.

Around 9:17 p.m., deputies received a 911 call from a man who said that two people had been shot inside their home at 125 Rhett Pl. in Gray, and the shooter, Joseph Voisin had fled the scene.

Voisin, who also lived at the home, was located six minutes later by the TPSO.

When deputies arrived at the residence, they found the 911 caller unharmed, and he led them to a rear bedroom where Mary Voisin, 47, and Christopher Smith, 45, were suffering from gunshot wounds.

Mary Voisin, Joseph Voisin's sister, and Smith, Mary Voisin's live-in boyfriend, were transported to the hospital, deputies said.

Mary Voisin sustained two gunshot wounds and died at the hospital. Smith sustained four gunshot wounds and remains in critical condition.

Joseph Voisin was arrested and charged with second degree murder and attempted second degree murder. He was booked at the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex on a $575,000 bond.
