NEW ORLEANS -- Some vendors have started an online petition to try to keep the New Orleans City Council from changing the rules for second line parades.

The author of the petition worries that the cultural tradition of the second line is being threatened by the changes the Landrieu administration is trying to implement.

Interim Councilwoman Diana Bajoie is sponsoring the proposed ordinance, which would require vendors to get a $25 permit, have trash cans and post menus.
