NEW ORLEANS -- It's got the best soundtrack of any marathon out there, and Sunday morning hundreds of runners competed in the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon.

Local bands played all along the race course.

Runners from across America and 23 different countries competed in the marathon and half-marathon.

The route went through City Park, along Lakeshore Drive and into the French Quarter. Runners say they love pushing themselves to the limit.

The fastest time in the full marathon for the men goes to Ben Bruce of Arizona. He finished in about two hours and twenty minutes.
