NEWORLEANS-- The City Council is about to take another crack at revising New Orleans' sound ordinance.

David Woolworth, the outside sound expert working for the council's Housing and Human Needs Committee, agreed Monday to work with committee members on drafting an ordinance governing sound levels in parts of the French Quarter zoned as 'Vieux Carre entertainment' districts.

The goal is to introduce the measure at the council's March 27 meeting, although it could not be voted on until a later meeting.
