TERREBONNE -- A homeowner on edge because neighbors had been robbed set up a booby trap that caught a would-be thief Saturday, police said.
Arty Marcel, 50, 2028 Bull Run Road, was soaked when he opened the door to a backyard shed and a rigged bucket filled with liquid fell on him, Terrebonne sheriff's Maj. Dawn Foret said.
Deputies were able to match the resulting shoeprints to Marcel, who lived nearby, she said.
Marcel is charged with simple burglary and remained at the Terrebonne jail this morning in lieu of a $500,000 bond.
