BATON ROUGE -- LSU has once again sold out of season football tickets, making this the ninth straight year of sellouts for the school. LSU sold 68,772 season tickets, the same amount that they sold in 2011.
LSU has sold out of season tickets every year since 2003, and continued to sell out in 2011 when Tiger Stadium's capacity was increased.
'The demand for LSU football season tickets continues to grow,' said Brian Broussard, the assistant AD for ticket operations. 'The requests for LSU season tickets continue to be higher than the number of tickets that we have to offer. However, those fans that couldn't get season tickets have an opportunity to buy single-game tickets for several of our home games.'
Individual game tickets are still available for North Texas, Idaho, Towson, and Mississippi State games, with several games all ready sold out.
LSU starts their season at home against North Texas on Saturday, September 1, with kickoff scheduled for 6 pm.
