RACELAND, La. Deputies arrested a burglary and theft suspect Wednesday evening who was connected with a report of several stolen items in May, Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre said.

Authorities said a Raceland resident reported the theft of a dirt bike, electric mini bike and shotgun from their shed in a month ago. Detectives later developed an arrest warrant for 20-year-old Marquel Gray following an investigation of him as a suspect.

Bicycle patrol deputies said they spotted Gray on Emerald Street and immediately took him into custody.

Authorities said Gray was booked into the Lafourche Parish Detention Center on warrants for simple burglary and theft of a motor vehicle. His bond was set for $30,000.
