SLIDELL, La. - The woman whose car and body were found in the water near Oak Harbor Blvd. Monday died of asphyxia due to drowning, according to the St. Tammany Parish interim coroner.

Dr. Pramod Menon made the declaration about the death of 28-year-old Crystal Friedman. Menon said the death is classified as an accident and toxicology findings are pending.

Friedman's car was found Monday after she had been missing for more than a week.
