NEWORLEANS-- Two men were robbed at gunpoint one of them pistol-whipped in an Adams Street home Tuesday afternoon, New Orleans police said, the latest in a rash of attacks on residents in their homes around the Carrollton corridor in the last few days.

One of the victims, a 22-year-old who moved to New Orleans for college and graduated last year, said he had stopped by a friend's house in the 1800 block of Adams (near Hickory) around 5 p.m. after he got off of work.
