HOUMA, La. -- A Houma woman is accused of stabbing her boyfriend early Sunday morning because he stayed out too late.
Kera Dupre, 21, 108 Helena Drive, confronted the unidentified man and stabbed him in the leg when he failed to return home 'at a reasonable hour,' Terrebonne sheriff's Capt. Dawn Foret said.
The man was 'bleeding profusely' from the knife attack, she said. He's expected to recover.
Dupre was taken to the Terrebonne Parish jail and booked on a count of second degree battery, which carries a penalty of up to five years in jail upon conviction.
She remains at the jail awaiting a bond hearing.
