NEW ORLEANS -- Ex-model Dean Kelly is back in Orleans Parish Prison after violating the terms of his release, according to Sheriff Marlin Gusman.
Kelly, who faces several rape charges, including an alleged incident involving a 14-year-old girl, posted a $2.5 million bond last month. He was on the electric monitoring program.
Along with being under house arrest, he wasn't allowed to have contact with women as part of his release, but deputies found a woman at Kelly's home while conducting a 'proactive check,' Gusman said.
'Kelly violated the conditions placed on him by the judge,' Gusman said in a statement. 'He was taken back to the correctional complex by deputies. Kelly is expected to make a court appearance as early as tomorrow.'
Back in March as Kelly was preparing to accept a plea agreement, a criminal court judge pulled the deal and raised the 42-year-old's bond from $1.5 million to $2.5 million after hearing allegations stemming from a Mardi Gras house party at his parent's home on St. Charles Avenue.
Kelly had a pre-trial conference scheduled for Oct. 1.
The ex-model, who appeared in a 1994 Aerosmith music video, was accused by several young women of enticing them with promises of access to Hollywood-type parties and movie sets, then forcing himself on them.
