METAIRIE, La. ― The good news for the Saints on Thursday is that no new players were added to the injury report.

The bad news no one has been removed.

Running back Pierre Thomas remains out with an ankle sprain that happened at the end of the Falcons game on Sept. 26 and defensive end Will Smith remains sidelined with a groin injury.

Smith's status could change by gameday, but Head Coach Sean Payton hopes to see him do more than individual drills during practice.

'He didn't go in any type of reps (during team),' Payton said. 'He was out there in walk-through. I think we have a chance with him. But we didn't practice him.'

As for Thomas, it's still a matter whether he can cut or not his ankle. Thomas missed two days of practice prior to the Carolina game before working out on Friday.

However, he missed Wednesday and now Thursday's practice.

'We just pay attention to how it feels,' Payton said. 'Certainly for a running back, it's important that he can cut off that ankle. We'll see where it's at.'

Safeties Roman Harper (hamstring) and Pierson Prioleau (chest) along with tight end Jeremy Shockey (knee) were limited.

Receiver Marques Colston (rib); tackles Jon Stinchcomb (shoulder) and Zach Strief (knee); running back Chris Ivory (knee); defensive backs Leigh Torrence (toe), Usama Young (quad) and Randall Gay (foot); linebackers Stanley Arnoux (ankle) and Anthony Waters (hamstring); tight end Jimmy Graham (ankle); and defensive end Jimmy Wilkerson (knee) all were full.
