NEWORLEANS - The recovery from Hurricane Isaac, like Hurricane Katrina, could take years.

More than 80 non-profit agencies supported by the United Way for Southeast Louisiana are in it for the long-haul. But it will take money, which is where you can help.

On Friday night, Channel 4 is presenting a live concert at Tipitina's Uptown, 501 Napoleon Ave., to raise money for flood victims.

There will be a live broadcast of this concert from 8-10 p.m. on My 54 WUPL (Cox Channel 2; Charter Channel 16; DIRECTV Channel 54.)

Concert lineup:

  • 7 p.m.: Doors open
  • 8 p.m.: Mia Borders
  • 9 p.m.: The Stooges Brass Band
  • 10 p.m.: Red Baraat
  • 11 p.m.: Honey Island Swamp Band

  • 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.: free with a donation of a non-perishable food item
  • 9 p.m. - 10 p.m.: $12 with a donation (regular admission is $15).

There will be a phone bank at WWL-TV to take donations during the show for United Way.
