TERRYTOWN, La. - Four teenagers were shot after a group of young men showed up uninvited at a house party and shots were fired, according to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's deputy.

The incident occurred around 11:35 p.m. in the 400 block of East Butterfly Circle in Terrytown. A spokesman for the sheriff's office said the injuries did not appear to be life threatening, though one of the victims was shot in the face.

According to Sheriff Newell Normand, six uninvited men showed up at the party and once inside, shots were fired and four people were hit.

After the incident, witnesses reported that the six men fled the scene in a Dodge Charger. A short time later State Police stopped a car matching the description of the vehicle, though at this time there was only one person inside.

Deputies said one witness was brought to the scene and a positive IDwas made of the driver.

One neighbor who said there have been issues with large parties at that house before, but nothing this extreme.

'It was more on a personal level because it was so close to home,'said the neighbor, who didn't want to be identified. 'So it was very scary to see and very awful to see that these young kids are just shooting each other for no reason.'

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Crimestoppers at 822-1111.
