VIOLET, La. A woman wanted in connection with two 2006 murders in Oklahoma is now in custody in St. Bernard Parish.

Sheriff James Pohlmann said U.S. Marshals arrested Jacqueline Octavia Smith, 36, in connection with the stabbing deaths of Linda Louise Wright, 45, and Dorothy Lindley, 60.

Lindley faces two counts of being an accessory to the murders. She allegedly concealed evidence and helped the alleged murderer, Hilliard A. Fulgham II, escape the state.

Pohlmann said Oklahoma officials told him the case had a 'drug-related component.'

Fulgham II, 44, was charged Monday with two counts of first-degree murder in the case. He was already serving a seven-year sentence in prison in Louisville, Miss.
