HARVEY, La. - Investigators said they have exhausted their physical search of the immediate area around Ahlittia North's home.

The six-year-old disappeared from her Harvey home in the middle of the night Friday and has not been seen since.

With no clues, no leads and no tips, North's family is desperate for answers. On Sunday North's mother, Lisa North, pleaded for the public's help, 'Anybody, anybody who knows anything, even the simplest thing, please call so we can try and get this mystery solved so she can be found.'

It's a sentiment also felt by investigators. Officers spent the day canvassing the wooded area across the street from where the six-year-old was last seen asleep in her bedroom.

'So far everything has been consistent with what family members have told us up to this point,' said Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office spokesperson Colonel John Fortunato.

With the vast search yielding no results, investigators stopped their physical search of the area. Instead they shifted their focus to registered sex offenders living in the area.

'In the event that this child may have for some reason decided to walk out of the home alone, we want to make sure that any convicted felons on the pedophile list in this area are visited,' said Fortunato. 'So we went ahead and knocked on their doors to be certain their homes are secure.'

Deputies have also started collecting and sifting through all the trash found in garbage cans around the neighborhood. Nearly 48 hours later, nothing has brought them closer to finding Ahlittia North.

'I don't know where to start looking, I don't know who, what, where or how,' said Lisa North. 'I don't know where to start at.'

Although helpless and frustrated, Ahlittia North's family said they will not lose faith. 'Hope that she is OK. If you've got her, please bring her back because she is very missed,' said Lisa North.

Ahlittia North was last seen wearing a grey tank top, pink pajamas pants and has braided hair.

Crimestoppers offered a $1,000 reward for any information that leads to her safe return and up to a $2,500 reward for information that leads to an arrest. To submit a tip to Crimestoppers call 504-822-1111.
