NEW ORLEANS -- New Orleans police arrested a 19-year-old man Wednesday night for the drive-by murder of a man last week in the Lower Garden District.

Tyrone Dooley has been booked with the second-degree murder in the shooting death of 22-year-old Billy McCormick.

Police said McCormick was in the back seat of a Nissan Altima on Aug. 27 when a Toyota Corolla sideswiped it and the passenger in the front of the Corolla started shooting.

That shooter was allegedly Dooley.

Bbond was set at $900,000.

The Corolla's driver, 23-year-old Dentri Lee, was arrested after the murder when he sought treatment for a gunshot wound to the hand.
