LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) -- Lafayette police say a 30-year-old man is accused of making the bomb threat that shut down the University of Louisiana at Lafayette last Wednesday. They identified him at a news conference Tuesday as Devin Haywood of Lafayette.

They say more arrests and charges are possible.

Police say Haywood also is accused of trying to hold up a bank.

A man called KATC-TV and police early Wednesday, saying there was a bomb in a white trash can at a small park next to the university. Police found what turned out to be a fake bomb.
