NEW ORLEANS -- There was only a handful of teens on the bus during the accident, as many as four, coming from the Edna Karr High School.

The accident happened near the intersection of N Galvez Clouet streets just after 5 p.m.

A red Jeep collided with the school bus, according to officials, and the Jeep side-swiped a white pickup truck.

None of the kids on the bus suffered major injuries. There were no ambulances taking children away on the scene.

Police haven't said whether any charges have been filed.

As of 6 p.m., police were still working to clear the scene and to fully open traffic in the area.
