NEWORLEANS- The City Planning Commission voted for a recommendation opposing an Interim Zoning Ordinance Tuesday afternoon - a victory for Tulane stadium proponents.

The recommendation goes to the New Orleans city council, which will take it under advisement as it moves on the issue.

The proposed interim zoning district would likely push back plans for a football stadium on Tulane's campus, which currently has a planned completion date in 2014.
