AMITE, La. A woman who killed an inn manger after claiming she heard voices in her head that said the manager had put cameras in her room was sentenced to 40 years, according to the Twenty-First Judicial District.

On July 11, 2010, police were notified of the death of manager Eugene Dong Lee at the Kentwood Plaza Inn.

Joyce Myers, 36, was brought in for questioning on July 14, which is when she admitted to attacking and fatally stabbing Lee, officials said.

Myers was originally charged with second degree murder, but pleaded guilty to the reduced charge of manslaughter.
