NEW ORLEANS -- The Hornets and WWL Radio have announced a multi-year deal to broadcast games over the air.
WWL-AM/FM will broadcast all of the Hornets games starting when the upcoming 2012-2013 season kicks off.
Sean Kelly will cover play-by-play for the broadcasts and John DeShazier, sports reporter and columnist at The Times-Picayune since 1992, will provide color commentary.
WWL, which maintains a partnership with WWL-TV, has broadcast the New Orlens Saints games for decades. Both teams are now owned by Tom Benson, who joined with his granddaughter, team executive Rita Benson LeBlanc, in announcing the Hornets deal in a statement.
