NEW ORLEANS WWL-TV has announced Sheba Turk as the new host of 'The 504'. 'The 504' airs weeknights at 9 p.m. on sister station WUPL-TV.

''The 504' is really about hearing about our city through the voices of everyone who lives here, whether that be the mayor or a regular citizen,' said Turk. 'We want to give people information that will help them get to where they want to be in life, while doing so in a fun and entertaining way'.

Channel 4 Executive News Director Bill Siegel said, 'We're excited because we know Sheba is going to tell stories you won't find anywhere else in New Orleans'.

Born and raised in Gentilly, Sheba graduated from St. Mary's Dominican High School, and spent the first half of her college career studying creative writing at NYU. Sheba came back home and graduated from the University of New Orleans with a bachelor's degree in English and concentrations in creative writing and journalism. Sheba joined Channel 4's Eyewitness News team in September 2011, and assumes her new role Monday, August 19th, 2013.
