NEW ORLEANS, La. The New Orleans Police Department is looking for two men they believe are responsible for several armed robberies in the Marigny.

According to police, on Wednesday January 1, around 1:00 a.m., three people were walking in the 1000 block of Frenchmen Street when they were approached by two unknown males armed with guns.

The men demanded the victims' property and after the victims complied, they told the victims to run.

The perpetrators fled on Frenchmen to N. Rampart and then on N. Rampart towards Elysian Fields and then unknown.

Detectives recovered surveillance footage of the incident.

These same men are also responsible for an armed robbery in the 2100 block of N. Rampart which occurred minutes later the same night.

Police describe the first subject as a black male, about 18-20 years-old, approximately 5'11' with a medium complexion and medium build, wearing dark colored clothing and a skull cap.

The second subject is described as a black male, about 24-28 years-old, approximately 6-feet-tall with a slim build and medium complexion.
