SLIDELL, La. -- A man wanted for molestation of a juvenile in Alabama was arrested in Slidell Thursday.

A Slidell detective, who is assigned to the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, got a tip a wanted fugitive from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Christopher Jarrell, was in the Slidell area. Jarrell was wanted for molestation of a juvenile and for sodomy of a juvenile under the age of 12, according to Slidell Police.

Authorities found Jarrell hiding in a trailer at the Eagle Lake Trailer Park. He was taken into custody after a brief struggle.

He is currently at the Slidell City Jail, where he will later be transferred to the St. Tammany Parish Jail, and eventually he will be extradited back to Tuscaloosa.
