NEW ORLEANS -- A man has died after a shooting Thursday morning in New Orleans East.

The shooting happened in the 6800 block of Parc Brittany before 11:15 a.m.According to NOPD spokesman Officer Garry Flot, an unidentified man was shot multiple times.

Doctors pronounced him dead several hours after the shooting occurred.

NOPD later arrested 24-year-old Jean Williams at a home in the 3500 block of Clematis Street. According to police, Williams confessed to the shooting under questioning. He was booked with second-degree murder.
