UPDATE: According to the McComb Police Department, Turner turned himself in to police around 8:30 p.m. Thursday evening.
MCCOMB, Ms. - Police are searching for a rape suspect they believe me be in the Kenner area following an attack Wednesday in McComb.
According to a spokesman, Keethion Dontrel Turner, 19, is being sought in the alleged attack.
The incident occurred around 10:30 a.m.
The spokesman said Turner knocked on the victim's door and was let in, presumably because he knew her. Turner is alleged to have asked to use the phone and a short time later pulled a knife and sexually assaulted the victim.
The victim was then told to get her ATMcard and was forced outside and told to drive to the nearest ATM. The spokesman said a relative intervened and saw the victim in distress. He chased the suspect who got away.
Police said the victim, who was injured by the knife, drove herself to the hospital and was treated for her injuries.
Police suspect that Turner may be in the Kenner area where he has family and friends.
Anyone who sees Turner is asked to call local law enforcement or the McComb Police Department at 601-684-3213. Suspect has felony charges pending on the charges of Aggravated Assault, Kidnapping, Rape and Attempted Arm Robbery.
