NEWORLEANS-- A jury settled a business feud between Hollywood actors Kevin Costner and Stephen Baldwin in a multimillion dollar lawsuit over oil-separating devices sold to BP to clean the Gulf of Mexico after the 2010 oil spill.
The jury rejected all claims from Stephen Baldwin against actor Kevin Costner over their multimillion dollar business dispute.
Stephen Baldwin sued Costner, claiming Costner duped Baldwin and his business partner out of millions of dollars in that was awarded in a contract by BP to use a centrifuge to clean up the Gulf oil spill.
Baldwin alleged that Costner and Costner's business partners kept him in the dark about a looming $52 million sale of the devices to BP, buying him out for $1.4 million on the eve of clinching the BP deal.
Costner countersued Baldwin alleging that Baldwin stunned him by cashing out of their company before any BP deal materialized.
