NEW ORLEANS Within hours of releasing information on missing teacher Terrilynn Monette last week, New Orleans police received more than a dozen tips about a jogger seen on video in the area.

NOPD spokeswoman Officer Hilal Williams said the department fielded 17 tips about the jogger since releasing the information.

She said police spoke to the jogger and several other men and women who ran in City Park at the time Monette went missing.

Video released last week showed that Monette, who left the Parlay's parking lot on March 1 around 5:15 a.m. alone, turned onto Harrison and then left onto Marconi. The Harrison-Marconi intersection camera was the last to capture her image, according to police.

The jogger was spotted on the camera near Maroni and Harrison a few minutes after she drove by.

Williams said they had no further information available.
