During her four decades on WWL-TV, Angela Hill was often the talk of the town. Now, once again, she is 'The Talk' of the country, appearing Monday as a guest host of the CBS daytime show.
The show, which will be broadcast live from Los Angeles, will air Monday, June 3 at 1 p.m. on WWL-TV Channel 4.
Angela will join 'The Talk' co-hosts Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood as a guest host, filling in for host Sharon Osbourne.
Angela, who retired from Channel 4's nightly newscasts in April but will continue to produce documentaries for the station, is one of five local news anchors from across the country appearing as guest hosts next week.
This will be Angela's third time appearing on the show. She made two guest appearances on 'The Talk' in February, when the show broadcast from New Orleans at a massive stage set up in Jackson Square for Super Bowl XLVII.
In her first appearance, wowing the crowd and surprising the co-hosts, she brought the ladies of 'The Talk' New Orleans-themed gifts and welcomed them to the city with her trademark style and grace and a lot of laughs. On her second visit, Angela shared stories of New Orleans' new role as Hollywood South, talking about part-time New Orleans residents Sandra Bullock, John Goodman and Brad Pitt.
It will be a busy week for Angela, who will travel to Los Angeles for the show. She'll fly home in time to be honored by the New Orleans City Council next Thursday with a special proclamation, honoring her 38-year career in local broadcasting.
'The Talk,' airing weekdays on CBS, was recently nominated for five Daytime Emmy awards, including Outstanding Talk Show-Entertainment. The daily show features a panel of well-known news and entertainment personalities who examine current events, pop culture, contemporary issues, family, celebrity and the trending topics of the day.
