Wednesday at Gallier Hall the Landrieu Administration will be trying to help New Orleans residents trying to get a job. It's all part of Mayor Landrieu's NOLA for Life program.

There's expected to be quite a turnout to the event with 500 people already registered.

Garnesha Crawford with the Mayor's Office tells Eyewitness News that this expo is a special opportunity specifically designed to target young men ages 16 to 30 in New Orleans.

'NOLA for Life is the city's comprehensive murder reduction strategy and this is our way to create pathways towards prosperity.'

There will be a resource fair offering new and different opportunities for the youth in the city, on-site job readiness boot camps, and industry professionals to give more information on job opportunities across the city.

People should come with their resumes, dressed professionally so that they can be processed quickly.

The NOLA for Life Job Opportunity Expo is from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Gallier Hall.
