St. Tammany Parish is creating a strategic plan for culture, recreation and tourism and officials in the parish want residents to weigh in.

This plan will address everything from accentuating existing outdoor recreational areas to best uses for mitigated, flood prone properties, and joining the Eyewitness Morning News by phone is St. Tammany Parish President Pat Brister.

St. Tammany's community meetings on culture, recreation and tourism begin Wednesday, August 20 at 6 p.m. at the Mayfield Elementary School in Slidell. The next two will be held on Thursday, August 21, with the first meeting at 11 a.m. at the Madisonville Public Library, and the second at 6 p.m. in Lacombe at the John Davis Recreation Center.
