The 18-year-old victim told police that he and Justin Singleton were supposed to meet up in an empty lot off Prince Collins Street shortly after noon. When he got there, he saw Singleton pick up a gun hidden underneath a shirt lying on the ground. Singleton, 321 Prince Collins St., shot several times, police said, and a bullet fragment hit the 18-year-old in the arm and the back. The 18-year-old and the driver then left the lot, police said.The 18-year-old was not seriously injured. He was later treated at Terrebonne General Medical Center and released.Several bullets also hit two homes on Prince Collins Street, but nobody else was injured. Police are still investigating the cause of the confrontation.Singleton, who was cleared of a manslaughter charge in March by a jury trial, was arrested Monday morning on two counts attempted murder. A bond has not been set yet.
