METAIRIE, La. Junior Galette missed every training camp practice beginning Aug. 8, roughly 12 sessions and four preseason games.
But he's unlikely to miss New Orleans' season opener against Atlanta at noon Sunday.
For the second day in a row, Galette practiced full.
'He's doing well,' coach Sean Payton said, adding, 'I anticipate him being ready to go.'
The rest of the Saints injury report didn't change from Wednesday's initial report when only two players sat out with injuries safety Isa Abdul-Quddus (ankle) and defensive end Glenn Foster (ankle).
Payton's assessment of Galette's ability to play is good news for a team that has only three outside linebackers listed on the roster. The young, athletic defensive player is expected to be a big part of the team's pass rush from his position this season.
