NEW ORLEANS -- New Orleans police have released pictures of the ATV used in a fatal hit and run that claimed the life of a Treme mother last month.

Daphne Cola, a 37-year-old mother of two, was hit by a speeding ATV while trying to cross Claiborne Avenue after leaving Kermit's Mother-in-Law's Lounge.

The driver and passenger of the ATV were thrown from the vehicle, but after briefly checking on the woman, they fled the scene.

Police released pictures of the ATV for the first time Thursday in hopes that someone can identify the owner.

If you know anything that can help investigators, call Crimestoppers at 822-1111.
