NEW ORLEANS - New Orleans police are asking the public's help in identifying two women wanted for stabbing a man in the French Quarter early Thursday morning.

The stabbing happened in the 800 block of Iberville Street at about 3:45 a.m.

According to police, a 25-year-old man was walking to his hotel when two women 'began feeling on him and making sexual advances.'

After fighting off their advances, he realized that his wallet was missing, so he confronted them and demanded his wallet back. At that point, police said, a 'physical altercation ensued' and the 25-year-old was stabbed in the hand.

The two women walked away on Iberville toward Bourbon Street after the incident.

The first woman is black with a medium build and dark complexion. She is 6'0' to 6'5' and has long black hair. She was wearing a pink shirt with a diamond pattern. Police say she may have be transgender.

The second suspect is black, about 5'5' to 5'7' tall and had a thin build with straight black hair.
