NEW ORLEANS The Saints agreed to terms with defensive tackle Brodrick Bunkley on Wednesday, adding a player at a spot the team is woefully thin at heading into offseason workouts.

Only Tom Johnson and Sedrick Ellis were under contract with the Saints before Bunkley's acquisition.

The contract, a 5-year deal, is worth a reported $25 million with $9 million in guaranteed money.

Bunkley played in Denver last season, finishing with 43 tackles, his second best season after underperforming in 2009-10 in his final two years with Philadelphia.

In six years out of Florida State, Bunkley (6-foot-2, 306 pounds) has amassed 187 tackles with six sacks.
