NEW ORLEANS Police are looking for a man wanted for attempting to sexually assault one woman and raping another woman in Central City, according to the New Orleans Police Department. The suspect is believed to be a homeless man living near where the assaults took place.

The incident occurred around 9:45 p.m. Sunday evening in the 2100 and 2200 blocks of Oretha Haley Castle Boulevard.

According to police, the suspect lured a woman behind an abandoned home, where he attempted to assault her. The woman fought off the suspect and was able to escape, according to police.

The suspect then approached a second woman, telling her the first woman was waiting for them in abandoned lot in the 2100 block of Oretha Haley Castle, according to police. Once there, the suspect assaulted the second woman.

Police released a computer composite sketch of the suspect. The suspect is described as 'Male, around 40 years of age, 6' in height with a slim build wearing dark to black colored jeans, red and black 'Polo style' shirt.'

The suspect is possibly homeless and living underneath the interstate at Oretha Haley Castle Boulevard and Calliope Street, according to police.
