Age related macular degeneration, which usually strikes people over the age of 50, is a serious eye disease that can lead to blindness, by some estimates, nearly 18-million people will suffer from the disease by 2050.

A new study suggests there may be a way to predict who is at risk of developing it, and fitness and nutrition expert Mackie Shilstone joins the Eyewitness Morning News to explain the findings of that study.
