He's a five-time pro-bowler and New Orleans Police confirmed last week that he's now under investigation.

The NOPD released the incident report in the case on Friday. It says the victim, an unnamed woman, admitted to consuming a 'Large amount of alcohol on Sunday September 23.'

The narrative then reads that the victim said she met the perpetrator at a bar, and 'He took her to his apartment and sexually assaulted her.'

Darren Sharper's name is not mentioned anywhere in the NOPDreport.

Nandi Campbell, an attorney representing Sharper, issued a statement Friday afternoon. 'No criminal charges have been filed against Darren Sharper based upon a September report alleging a sexual assault. The New Orleans Police Department has thoroughly reviewed all of the evidence, or lack thereof, in the case.'

'The complainant stated that she consumed a large amount of alcohol on the night of September 23, 2013, and that she went to multiple bars on her own before ever encountering Sharper. She later claimed to have a vague recollection of the night and morning events. Of course vague recollection is often times consistent with consuming large amounts of alcohol,' Campbell said.

The NOPD incident location is listed as 701 Tchoupitoulas Street, with the date and time of the alleged rape listed as: September, 23 at 10 a.m. The report states that the victim reported it to police the next day, September, 24 at 6:30 am. Published reports showed Sharper at a football camp in Slidell on the 24.

On the night in question, according to Campbell, 'There were numerous witnesses who observed the complainant on her own and also observed her after encountering Sharper. Certain witnesses observed Sharper mingling with various patrons and observed the complainant follow him willingly throughout the evening. Various surveillance footage shows the complainant's actions and behaviors on the date in question and have been turned over to New Orleans Police Department detectives. No evidence suggests or implies that a sexual assault occurred. The totality of the witnesseses' statements and the physical evidence support the police department and district attorney's decision not to file criminal charges at this time.'

'It looks like she made a report shortly after the incident, which, in my opinion, would give her some credibility. This is not a situation where she waited for the California information to come out and then she made the allegation,' said Donald 'Chick' Foret, Eyewitness News legal analyst.

Sharper was arrested last week in Los Angeles in connection with two sexual assaults in west L.A. One was in October, one in January.

The LAPD still hasn't released any more information about where and when those incidents may have happened.

'For us to give a prognosis as to how much trouble he's in, I think we need much more information,' Foret said.

More details about the Los Angeles allegations against Sharper should be released at his first court appearance in L.A. that's currently scheduled for February 14.

Sharper was released by the LAPD on a $200,000 bond.
