BATON ROUGE, La. -- Sen. David Vitter told his supporters that he's raised $1.4 million since announcing his run for governor.

That brings the total amount that Vitter has raised to just over $4 million.

State Rep. John Bel Edwards, D-Amite, and Republican Lt. Gov. Jay Dardenne have both said they'll run for the state's top job.

Right now Dardenne has $1.2 million in his war chest.

Analysts say another possible candidate for governor could be Republican State Treasurer John Kennedy.
