NEW ORLEANS -- Marshall Coulter, the teenager who was shot in the head by a Marigny homeowner while trespassing on his property last year, has been found incompetent to stand trial in a subsequent burglary last month.

Medical experts testified in juvenile court Thursday that Coulter does not have enough understanding of his situation to help his defense attorneys.

The 15-year-old will receive mental health treatment before he returns to juvenile lockup or is brought back to court.
