Mr. Herman Bailey, the father of 29-year old Donovan Bailey, an aspiring rapper and record producer who was gunned down in Reserve last year, made the plea for anyone with information to come forward, and the good news is, someone is now behind bars and has been indicted in his son's case.

But so many people who witness a crime or know any details are hesitant to cooperate because of fear of retaliation. Mr. Bailey joins the Eyewitness Morning News to talk about the process he went through to seek justice for his son and how Crimestoppers was an instrumental part in getting justice for his family.

Again, Crimestoppers enables you to come forward about a crime and still keep your identity a secret. There are so many ways to contact someone there: by phone at (504) 822-1111; through Facebook; or through their website.

Don't forget, WWL-TV is dedicating its 6 p.m. newscast Wednesday to meet some of the people affected by gun violence in New Orleans and see how they are dealing with their harsh reality.
