Drew Brees' appearance on David Letterman's Late Show has been moved from Tuesday to Thursday this week.

The new timing now places his appearance one day after his grievance over his franchise salary number is scheduled to be heard in Philadelphia.

Brees is seeking a ruling that would have his franchise salary number raised since it is the second time he has received that designation - once with San Diego and this year with the Saints.

The show can be seen at 10:35 p.m. on WWL-TV Channel 4.

Brees has appeared on Letterman's show twice before, including once after the Saints' historic Super Bowl win in 2010.

He last visited the show in April of that year, presenting the Top Ten List, after he was named cover athlete for the 'Madden NFL 10' video game.
