NEW ORLEANS -- In an interview Wednesday, Gov. Bobby Jindal confirmed that he is set to formally reject the health care exchange set forth in the Affordable Health Care Act.
The exchanges are a centerpiece of Obamacare.
Once implemented on the state level, they're set to provide a way for health insurance companies to compete with each other while meeting government standards, and let citizens apply for subsidies that will lower their health care costs.
Jindal told the Huffington Post that he'll send the federal government an official letter of his intent by Friday.
