It appears there's a possibility that one of players who produced one of the marquee plays in Saints history could return to the franchise after a one year absence.
The Saints have shown in interest in cornerback Tracy Porter, ESPN.com's Bill Williamson is reporting.
Porter left for Denver a season ago on a one-year contract. But his season was cut short as he dealt with issues related to a seizure he suffered in the summer.
Porter helped the Saints to an NFC title, intercepting the Vikings' quarterback Brett Favre late in the fourth quarter as Minnesota was driving for the possible game-winning score.
A game later, he closed the door on the Indianapolis Colts, intercepting quarterback Peyton Manning and returning it for a touchdown, pointing into the crowd the final portion of his sprint into the record books.
