Exactly one year after leaving office, former New Orleans mayor Ray Nagin used his Twitter account to promote his forthcoming book Tuesday. A later press release touted the book as 'a behind-the-scenes, provocative, revealing and inspirational story.'
'Book release June 8,' Nagin tweeted Tuesday afternoon.'Discovered lot of truth missing from K experience. Our story is provacative (sic).'
He also included a photo of the cover of the memoir, titled 'Katrina's Secrets: Storms After the Storm.'It features a pensive Nagin peering out of a City Hall window.
A later press release announced that the book will be released via Amazon.com in paperback and e-book formats.
'It is centered on critical events and decisions made before, during and immediately after the nation's worst-ever natural and man-made disaster, Hurricane Katrina,'according to the press release.
