METAIRIE, La. - More testimony is expected Thursday in the trial of the man accused of raping and killing a woman in Lafreniere Park nearly six years ago.

Edumondo Cerda-Anima is charged with second degree murder in the death of Sandra Adams, 51.

On Wednesday, a forensic pathologist, who conducted the autopsy on Adams, said that tests showed that the victim was sexually assaulted before she died.

Defense attorneys disputed that claim, saying there was no clear evidence in the initial autopsy to support it.
