NEWORLEANS - French Market vendors celebrated after a civil court judge blocked the French Market Corporation board from enforcing new rules and regulations.

Judge Tiffany Chase issued a temporary restraining order blocking the new vendor rules that were approved by the board two weeks ago.

Those changes included requiring vendors to set up shop at 8 a.m., wearing ID badges, a mandatory review of merchandise every two years and the re-evaluation of tenure of the vendors.
