NEW ORLEANS -- After donating funds to rehab a playground last fall, representatives from the NBA's Retired Players Association returned to see it completed Saturday.

The group dedicated the Oliver Bush Playground in the Lower Ninth Ward.

They marked the occasion with a basketball clinic on the new courts.

It's a more than $2 million renovation that also brought former council president, now CEO of the players association, Arnie Fielkow back to town.

'Tremendously excited to be back in the city of New Orleans. I tell our folks all the time what a great city this is,'Fielkow said. 'The person that's going to lead the clinic today is a former NBA player here, by the nam . He is so excited to be back in his neighborhood and the courts that he played on.'

The NBA All-Star Game returns to New Orleans next spring.
